After a steady ride up from Grantham arrived at chain Bridge honey farm around midday on Friday.

Tent erected in boiling hot weather-in Northumberland! Don from Vikings welcomed us and showed us around.

Met rest of Vikings who seemed a friendly bunch. There was a small marquee on site for evening socialising and refreshment. Hog roast van Friday and Saturday evenings. Double decker bus belonging to the farm served tea, coffee and light snacks. Visitor centre to look round and shop selling honey products.

Site packed with vintage farm equipment and lorries plus other vintage curios.

Enjoyed walking along the Tweed from the Bridge to nearest village Horncliffe which has a very pleasant community pub the Fishers Arms.

All in all, a superb weekend even despite the violent storm Saturday night. Sheet lightening and ground shaking thunder quite scary when laid in a tent!
