The Watsonian Cambridge and Oxford. Here is a link to the 1980’s brochure https://www.watsonian-squire.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/OXFORD.pdf.
The Cambridge was the booted version and the Oxford was a 4 seater and a true family sidecar.
The Cambridge ceased production first, sometime during the 90’s. as when Lesley and I visited Watsonian Squire in 1998 to purchase a 2 seat sidecar with a boot there was Cambridge (just the body covered in dust) at the back of the workshop. It was white, we wanted a black one. Peter offered to have it sprayed and did say it would be the last Cambridge to leave the workshop. Lesley decided to purchase an RX4.
As for when the Oxford ceased production, well, as the Oxford was still available in 1998, (Lesley was offered one of those as well) I guess it was after 1998 but not long after as it doesn’t appear in their 2005 brochure. The last or later Oxfords had a larger 12″ wheel and different mudguard and were call an Oxford DL. https://i0.wp.com/www.watsonian-squire.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/WATSONIAN-1995_1.jpg?ssl=1
Here are a few pictures of the Cambridge and Oxford out and about, some as they come out of the workshop but most with some personal touches and modifications.
