Once upon a time in 1950s when l was a very young school boy my walk to school took me via Limes Avenue and at the top the avenue was a large house with tennis courts in the rear garden and on the drive was parked a very red Ferrari sports car.
Over the years l would stop for a chat with the late Bill Lomas and visit his motorcycle shop in Clay Cross also another late friend (Richard Campbell) worked for his father Harry Lomas at Milford motorcycle shop.
On a visit my NZ friend Paul the “Kiwi TT Rider” l arranged for Bill to sign a copy of his book at is home and was shown Bills memorabilia of his racing career in the 1950s.
